Session 1
The Science behind a ChatBot
Get some deeper understanding of Natural Language Programming (NLP) and the science behind ChatBot application. Find out what do you need to consider when creating and training a ChatBot. Learn from demonstration of successful implementation that provided a better experience to the end user.

The function of the dialog engine in a chat bot application, and different techniques are powerful enough to surpass humans in both accuracy and speed, for some surprising subtle tasks, like recognising sarcasm in an isolated natural language statement. Once we are able to extract structured numerical data, vectors from natural language, we can take advantage of all the tools of mathematics and machine learning. The topics that will be discussed are content refinement, extracting entities, topic modelling and matching that allows us to better cater for the NLP experience.

BIO: Gavin is a seasoned Data Scientist, executive, leader and strategist. He is an an expert in business communications, product and process design relating to DataScience space. He focuses in Data Science models for predictive capabilities.

Session 2
How to be succesfull in your chatbot journey?
Get a brief understanding on the tools and techniques that would help you start building Chatbots quickly on multiple platforms. We will see the capabilities that can be built into ChatBots and how it helps in delivering the overall solution. We will discuss what works and what does not, with examples. You will get lessons learnt from with platforms like Google DialogFlow, IBM Watson and paid platforms like GupShup. At the end of the session, you will have a fair idea of how to be succesfull in your chatbot jouney.

Session 3
Using Virtual Reality to bring your ChatBot to life
Description: Chatbots are most commonly used as a feature of mobile or desktop websites, where text is used for the primary interaction method. In this session we’ll explore how you can use Amazon Sumerian to create a virtual host that can be interacted with through Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality or just as a digital character. This makes voice a far more natural interaction method. We’ll also look at how you can extend this bot to interact with other rich services in the AWS cloud.

Brent is an AWS Solutions Architect focused on guiding AWS partners and customers in improving their businesses through the use of modern technologies and practices. He brings experience from startup through to enterprise businesses, with a technical background in software development leadership, DevOps, and Big Data technologies and how they can be used with Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning systems.
