About Us:

The Friendship Group is for those aged 50'ish+ and is all about social interraction - getting out and about, having fun and making new friends.

It's about positive happy people who want to live life to the fullest and don't want to sit around the house all the time just wishing they had somewhere to go. So whether you are single or a couple the Friendship Group is for you.

You won't find it on the meetup app on your phone. Areas:

We cover most of the northwest of Sydney including

• Hills/Parramatta,

• Blacktown/Nepean and

• Hawkesbury/Blue Mountains.

If you know of anything happening in these areas that you would like to suggest or attend please contact your area organiser and let them know or put it up yourself as a Suggested Meetup.

What's Happening In These Areas:

We have regular events that within the 3 main areas. We also run special events that can be anywhere e.g. Hunter Valley Weekends, Pacific Cruises, Theatre & Concert events etc. Check out the Calendar for what's coming up next and the Weekly Reminder - Special Events for any special events in the future.

Costs:

It is free to join the Friendship Group however we do have administrative costs to cover and subsequently ask that you support us by either donating $5 a year or supporting us at any fundraising events we may hold from time to time.

Loyalty Club:

To thank you for your loyalty to our group we run a loyalty club which is drawn each year. From 2017 this raffle is totally free. Download the free app from StampMe.com and claim your "stamp" using your smart phone at each event you attend. When you collect 10 stamps pick up your free raffle ticket from your organisers. If you don't have a smart phone we have hardcopy loyalty cards as well, just for you.

Carpooling:
If you need assistance in getting to any of the meetups or events contact your event host to see if they can help you with this. Carpooling can be fun!

Sharing the Fun:
It's also about getting involved and sharing the load too, rather than leaving it all to a select few. Having said that we would ask that our members try and host at least one event a year (your choice). It's not hard to do and you will have the full backup support of the leadership team AND you will earn extra points on our loyalty cards.
