What we’re about
Since the end of the world is in sight, what better way to pick up the survival strategies we need than reading and discussing dystopian literature? The idea of the book club is to provide an informal and fun space where we will read a range of literature from pop culture classics such as The Hunger Games to heavy-weights such as Brave New World.
To help cover the costs of advertising on meet-up, we are charging £2.00 a month, with the very first meet-up you attend being free!
Please note that we do spend the majority of the meet up discussing the set text each month. We ask that you attempt to read the book before coming - there is no pressure to finish it as long as you don't mind spoilers!

See all- The Time Machine by H. G. WellsG41 BAR, GlasgowGBP 2.00
In 1895 time travel was invented and our world changed forever. As we sit in the parlor of the time machines creator, we will discover that eight hundred thousand years in the future a new race inhabits a dying earth. Published while Victoria was on the throne and Britain's Empire was still on the rise H. G. Wells's cautionary novella was the first in a career of prescient novels. It launched multiple genre and would spawn countless imitations. 129 years later one question remains, is the story any good?
Well yes obviously; and still it's available through project Gutenberg & to be found on the crumbling pages of countless orange covered penguin classics.
