Presented by Jake Peterson

Quickly get up to speed with the best practices of event and people-based analytics tracking. Hear about the very best (and the very worst) implementations at some of the largest companies across the globe. After a brief presentation, Jake will jump straight into a Q&A session to ensure your implementation questions are answered.

Jake was the first employee at Segment (https://www.segment.com) and VP of Customer Success for 3 years as the team grew from 1 to over 20 people. Responsibilities included everything from guiding huge companies on analytics best practices to technical implementation support for developers. He recently started an analytics consulting company, Bard Analytics (https://bardanalytics.com), which delivers analytics implementations and analysis, packaged as products.

Talk Two - DataOps and Behavioural Marketing

Presented by Chris Hexton

Learn about the dataOps practices underpinning some of Australia's (and the worlds) largest software companies. The Vero (https://www.getvero.com) data platform is a stand out behavioural marketing platform powered by the very technology Jake is exploring earlier in the night. Chris will share insights on how to use this stream of data to send highly targeted and timely messages to individual customers at huge scale.

Chris Hexton is a co-founder of Vero, behavioural email marketing software that helps online retail stores increase their customer satisfaction and sales. Living between Sydney and San Francisco, his favourite part of working on Vero is helping other businesses grow.

Chris previously founded development consultancy Semblance Systems, having formerly worked in risk management at PriceWaterhouseCoopers in Sydney.
