Welcome! Australian Young Professionals (AYP) Toastmasters Club is based in the heart of the Sydney CBD, Australia. We meet at 280 Pitt St, every first and third Monday of every month. AYP helps people to develop leadership and communication skills. We encourage a dynamic, educational and welcoming environment for people to improve their confidence in communication and leadership. Communication Skills Normally we think of public speaking as speaking in front of a large group of people. But there are other common presentation situations which people can find confronting – for example, a job interview. Whether it’s a one-on-one meeting or a speech in front of 100 people, Professional Speakers can help you become a more confident speaker. Leadership Skills AYP focuses on improving all aspects of presentation skills and strives towards the Toastmasters Internation slogan, "Where Leaders Are Made." Membership AYP is friendly and open to anyone from the age of 18. Our meetings are fun, positive and educational. We have a "serious about better speaking" attitude balanced with a lot of humour and light-hearted banter. Our club is welcoming, with an eclectic mix of ages, speaking abilities and nationalities. Wherever you're from, or whatever your speaking ability, you'll fit right in!
We meet on the 1st and 3rd Monday of the month. Are you afraid of speaking in front of people? Do you want to overcome the fear of speaking in public? Do you want to have fun and learn from a supportive group of people? Are you looking to hone your leadership skills? If the answers to any of the questions above is a yes, then look no further.
