What we're about

Please click on the "Read more" below for more information and scroll down for our song library list.

This is an acoustic jam/learning group which includes all skill levels from beginners to seasoned performers. We meet in Loveland. We have a Yamaha DGX 660 88-key portable grand Piano for any piano players who would like to join us. We also have a vocal mic and acoustic guitar amp for anyone who would like to try an open mic experience with a friendly and supportive crowd.

Our Goal:

• Have fun

• Provide a friendly supportive environment in which to learn and share.

• Encourage beginners and support Members who would like to present their own songs or music.

Operations:

The lyrics and chords are displayed on big screen TV so all can see and follow along.

Individuals are welcome and encouraged to send and introduce new songs. It is preferred that they can lead the group for any song they introduce but if you just want help with it we will try to support you.

The library of our songs is posted on the meetup group's Dropbox website so members can down load or print them and create their own custom songbook.

All skill levels welcome and all types of acoustic instruments. And, we now have an acoustic guitar amp, in hole guitar pickup and microphone for anyone who would like to try the experience of an open mic or just hear how good they sound, in a safe and supportive environment. This could also work for someone with an electric base. We also have a Yamaha DGX[masked] weighted keys, electric keyboard and a cajón. We are trying to expand the types of instrument voices to improve the sound and hopefully include more folks and new talent. The Goal: Have fun, learn and have a new song or two to take home. Space is limited so I would like to try for around 10-15 people. We will take some time to talk about the organization and frequency of the meet ups and get to know each other a bit. REQUESTS - Please no amplifiers we do not have the space or the electrical outlets for them. - Music stands are not needed all song are projected on a screen for everyone to see and follow along. - If you have a song you would like to share with the group please bring it and several copies to share (please try to select a song that is not too difficult to play - we want everyone to be able to join in). We are looking forward meeting you! play LOUD, LONG and OFTEN. :-)
