What we'll do
Ride from Koo Wee Up looping around to Poowong, Lang Lang and back Koo Wee taking in the flood flats around Koo Wee Up and the hills of Gippsland including Grandridge Rd. We are riding in the heart of dairy country hence the ride name. This ride has many stunning views which means lots of hills! I recently rode the majority of this route in June & July and loved it.
This is a hard ride - lots of hills and 120kms mix of sealed and gravel roads
We will have lunch at Seaview Mechanics Institute - It is bring your own lunch. If required we will have rest stop at Poowong for coffee & Loo break. Also ensure that bring lots of snacks as you will need the energy to get up those hills. You need to have lights fitted that are fully charged / spare batteries and suitable for riding at night as we may run out of daylight hours.
This ride is for experienced riders only and will suit all bikes including road bikes but not with narrow road tyres. Best options are a Gravel or Touring bike.
This ride is open to financial MBTC members only & maximum of 10 Riders. If you are not a member of MBTC please join asap so that you can go on this ride.

It's your responsibility to check the temperature and distance for the day and carry an appropriate amount of water. When riding outside suburbia remember that carrying too much water is better than not enough as the distances between water availability may vary greatly from the planned route due to road closures or other unforeseen circumstances.

If you cannot make it to the ride please change your RSVP to 'NO' within a reasonable time.
