What we'll do
The Cisco User Group was created in early 2016 by local enthusiastic IT professionals. Its purpose is to create a unique and friendly environment where IT professionals can meet up once a month and get to know each other, share knowledge, experiences, skills, learn about careers and much more in a completely relaxed and social environment along with plenty of drinks and great food!
The group is free and open to anyone who enjoys socialising and talking about any IT technology topic.
Meetups run on the first Tuesday of every month at 18:00 (6pm) sharp and here is what we have scheduled for this month:
Presentation 1: Webex Calling. A new addition to the Webex portfolio. As a cloud calling platform, Webex Calling provides enterprise telephony, fully integrated within the Webex collaboration stack. Learn more about the Webex Calling feature set, architecture and migration in this Cisco User Group Meet Up.
Hear from Josh Fallon, Webex Calling Technical Solution Architect, about the variety of PSTN interconnect options and deployment models.
Presentation 2: Evolution of optical Ethernet. 10G and beyond. Ethernet has become a de-facto standard for enterprise and data centre communications. Since the arrival of optical Ethernet interfaces, the industry was delivering new form factors and raising the bar for interface speeds.
In this session we'll have a look on how Ethernet optics was evolving over the last 10 years and what might become available in the nearest future.
