What we'll do

The Cisco User Group was created in early 2016 by local enthusiastic IT professionals. Its purpose is to create a unique and friendly environment where IT professionals can meet up once a month and get to know each other, share knowledge, experiences, skills, learn about careers and much more in a completely relaxed and social environment along with plenty of drinks and great food!

Topics covered in this Meetup session:

Introduction to the Cisco Next-Gen SD-WAN

The enterprise network is evolving and traditional approaches to WAN architecture cannot meet the increasing demands placed on enterprise IT. A new approach is required that can accommodate the need for rapid and consistent service delivery, application aware performance management, delivery of cloud alongside on-premise applications, and the growing requirements for secure network wide segmentation. The Cisco Next-Gen SD-WAN is a cloud delivered network fabric that is secure, scalable, open and simple to deploy.

This session will provide an introduction to the Cisco Next-Gen SD-WAN architecture, highlighting key concepts such as:
• centralised control plane and orchestration
• secure, distributed data plane operation
• performance aware delivery of on-premise and cloud delivered applications
• policy driven network topology, segmentation and forwarding

Presenter:
Al da Silva - Technical Solutions Architect – SD-WAN - Cisco Systems.
