  • ASIC, AUSTRAC and ATO discuss regulatory view on Initial Coin Offerings (ICOs)

    There has been a lot of hype around Initial Coin Offerings (ICOs) and Cryptocurrencies there remains uncertainty on how ICOs and cryptocurrencies are viewed by local regulators. The Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC), Australian Transaction Reports and Analysis Centre (AUSTRAC) and the Australian Tax Office (ATO) are convened in a Regulators public session to share and discuss the regulatory view on ICOs and crypto. This is your opportunity to hear directly from the regulators as well as asking the important questions relating to ICOs and crypto such as: · What are ICOs and what are the warnings the regulators are giving? · Can I do my own ICO in Australia? Come and listen to a brief overview of the H2 Accelerator and what you can expect from being a part of it. The H2 team will also talk about what they are looking for and finally will give some tips on how to give yourself the best chance of getting into the program. About H2 Ventures & The H2 Accelerator Since 2013 we have been operating the H2 Accelerator, Australia's only dedicated Data, Artificial Intelligence and Fintech accelerator, with the vision of cultivating a critical mass of talented people to work on world changing ideas. The H2 Ventures Accelerator Program runs for 20 weeks with 16 teams (typically 2-3 entrepreneurs per team) invited to join the Program in each intake.
