This is a free community event hosted by Councillor Catherine Ehrhardt. Here is the promotional message.

“It's my pleasure to be hosting this informative and fascinating look at how citizens can drive change, and how we can all look at increasing the sense of belonging and identity in our City.

Tickets are free, but essential to ensure that you have a seat. ( Registration link can be found on the Facebook event. )

Doors open at 6pm.

At 6.30pm we’ll be joined by guest speaker Shannon Savage of liveable streets advocacy group Streets For People ( ).

At 7pm Documentary screening of - Cities on Speed: Bogotá Change by Andreas M.

Clowns instead of traffic police. A vaccine against crime. Weapons melted down to make baby cutlery.

Bogotá Change tells the story of two charismatic mayors, Antanas Mockus and Enrique Peñalosa who, in less than 10 years, used progressive thinking and unorthodox methods to transform one of the world's most dangerous, violent and corrupt capitals into one that puts social equity and human happiness at its heart.

* Snacks and drinks are available for purchase at the Roxy Lane Theatre Bar.
* Children are welcome to attend if accompanied by a parent or guardian. The film screening area is separate from the bar area.
