Rashid Kotwal

Rashid Kotwal studied Mechanical Engineering at UNSW and worked in the IT space with multi-nationals including NCR, DEC, Fujitsu and Unisys as well as medium sized businesses, first in a technical, project management, then sales and senior management roles which included generating VC funding for major projects.

Since founding Revealed Resources in 2000, Rashid has concentrated on helping aspirational business owners sustainably grow their organisations. To date he has helped hundreds of organizations in Financial Services, Manufacturing, Construction, Healthcare and IT improve revenue and profitability.

Rashid is passionate about human behaviour and what makes people Perform to their maximum ability. Having extensively studied psychology, NLP, and other modalities, Rashid helps clients improve leadership skills which directly translate into growth.

Pitches are 5-7min, warning bell at 5min and 'the plug is pulled' at 7min. Then a judge Q&A so pitchers will be given constructive advice on how to better sell their ideas. And spectators will get to see the brave rise or fall... ;-)

Judges will have 5min or so Q&A and so a whole pitch should take 15min including swap over. We will try and get 8 pitches in the night...


Alan Jones

Alan mentors founders in startup accelerators BlueChilli, Startmate, Catalyst, and Collider, on issues around lean startup methodology, product strategy, marketing, and team leadership.

A founding investor in Australian tech startup venture funds Pollenizer, Startmate and Blackbird Ventures, Alan is currently raising a new venture fund, M8 Ventures, focusing on pre-seed and seed investment in early-stage tech startups in Australia and New Zealand.


Mike Nicholls

Mike has 20+ years business experience in sales & marketing, having been the CEO & MD of 4 companies with practical experience across a range of industries. He is an expert at helping very early stage startups work out how to get their first customers.

Now a Partner at Main Sequence Ventures, who particularly invest in deep tech founders across the country, Mike has also been a successful entrepreneur himself and strong mentor.


Stella Xu

Stella is an associate at Main Sequence Ventures, the CSIRO innovation fund that invests in deep tech startups. Prior to MSV, she worked for over 3 years at The Trade Desk, a hypergrowth Nasdaq listed startup in the digital marketing space, where she grew ANZ market share and launched a new platform.

Stella has been named in the 30 under 30 for Tech and a Woman to Watch by marketing authority B&T. She holds a B.S. Mathematics from the Australian National University.
