What we'll do
Meet at Mends St jetty in South Perth at 6:30pm for a 6:45pm start. We skate in 3 groups: Beginners, intermediate and advance. Each level has a different path, pace and stops. Please, check the details below:
Go to Optus Stadium and back to Mends St jetty (~10km). Stay on the South Perth side of the river.
Smooth path with very mild slopes. Slow pace.
(If you feel you are not ready for this, check our Monday’s event “Magic Moves Mondays”)
Go towards Optus stadium, cross over and skate around the river’s cycle path to the Bell Tower, over the Narrows and back to South Perth (~15 km). Smooth path, with some slopes. Gentle fitness pace.
Go towards Optus Stadium and then to the CBD, we decide the path on the day.
Path varies every time, you must be ready to skate with traffic, do quick stops, go down steep slopes and skate different surfaces. (~14 to 20 km)
Fast fitness pace (not speed skating pace).
All groups are usually back to Mends St jetty at the same time, around 8.30 pm. We go for dinner after that.
Make yourself visible at night! Use reflective tape, lights, torch, etc...
** Every Thursday we skate alternate events: “All Together” and “Beginners, Intermediate and Advance groups” **
