What we'll do

Hello Everyone,

We’ve come up with yet another interesting topic for you all. I am happy to announce our next Meetup with Melissa Tondi, Quality Engineering Leadership at E*TRADE as the speaker, hosted by Kalyana Rao Konda, President at Cigniti Technologies on 5th December, 2019.

Meetup Agenda:
4:00 to 4:30 PM (EST) – Meet & Greet; Food & Networking
4:30 to 4:40 PM (EST) - Introduction by Kalyana Rao Konda
4:40 to 5:30 PM (EST) – Session by Melissa Tondi followed by Q&A.

Title: Modernizing your Testing Approach

In this session, we will discuss a more modern approach to testing. Focusing on the Quality Engineer role, Melissa will define the role, show areas within the SDLC where the modern QA/QE can be influential, and present practical (and actionable!) ways to implement them.
In addition, we’ll see what a modern testing approach looks like, how it’s measured, and most importantly, its value within the SDLC. She’ll talk about areas you may be able to spend more time in or add to your overall testing strategy – effectively adding more time to do what you do best!

Session Takeaways:
• Learn how to implement the modernized Definition of Done
• Evaluate when and where regression tests belong
• Discuss a more efficient and productive way of organizing tests that support both scripted and unscripted testing activities

About the Speakers:

Melissa Tondi
Melissa has spent most of her career working within software testing teams. She is the founder and principal consultant for Disrupt Testing, past president and board member of Software Quality Association of Denver (SQuAD), and on the Quality Engineering Leadership Team at E*TRADE, where she assists companies and teams to continuously improve the pursuit of quality software—from design to delivery and everything in between. In her software test and quality engineering careers, Melissa has focused on building and organizing teams around three major tenets—efficiency, innovation, and culture – and uses the Greatest Common Denominator (GCD) approach for determining ways in which team members can assess, implement and report on day to day activities so the gap between need and value is as small as possible.
