What we'll do

Are you good at motivating people?

Do you want to be good at it?

Which motivational speakers come to mind - Anthony Robbins, Barack Obama, Oprah Winfrey?

Come and learn how to give a motivational speech at Port Melbourne Toastmasters.

This meeting will be a balance of freshness and experience. First, foundation member Harshal will use his sales background to tell us all about how to motivate people when speaking.

Then, we have three Icebreakers - three new members who will perform their first speeches; so will begin three Toastmasters journeys - a journey of self-development, confidence and friendship!

Their new stories and perspectives will be complemented by evaluations led by experienced Toastmasters such as Ann, Dominic and Tara.

Our PR Officer Valentina will play the verbal watchdog; she'll be on the prowl for excellent use of the English language. Extrovert and previous emcee Victor will take on the silent but crucial role of Timer. And don't forget a round of impromptu speaking with our latest star, Dixon! This event will be emceed by the effervescent Tara Rahman.
