What we're about
The Rotary Club of Richmond is a group for anyone wishing to contribute to their local community or aid projects abroad. Together as a club we have been putting together community service projects for over 50 years and have a range of activities for you to help out and get involved in. Our project list this year includes upgrades to the Bairo Pite clinic in East Timor, hosting a youth exchange student from Germany, the Ainger high school public speaking awards, dance and photography programs in Collingwood, English literacy programs in Bali, the Slade local high school short story writing competition, "Next Step" mentoring and job coaching in the city of Yarra, organising mock job interviews for Melbourne Girls college students and publishing children's picture story books in East Timor. If you are interested in contributing to any of the above projects or perhaps would like support for a project idea of your own, you are welcome to come along to one of our regular meetings at 6:30 every Monday at the Amora Hotel, Bridge Rd, Richmond. Each meeting has a new guest speaker and two course meal for $30. What is Rotary? With more than 1.3 million Rotarians in over 165 countries, Rotary is a worldwide network of inspired individuals who translate their passions into relevant social causes to change lives in their communities.
