The south and central coasts of NSW are littered with many beaches and campsites This is a group for people interested in Camping and bushwalking on or along the coastline. We just just get together, pool our resources ( Car, 4Wds, Camping gear, Food etc..) and head out! If you want to meet other outdoor enthusiasts and love exploring the outdoors then this group is for you!
Wollangambe Crater is an fascinating crater formation on the northwest extremity of Blue Mountains National Park, in a true wilderness area. This two day out and back walk starts at Bell, passes some amazing pagoda rock formations, and to a small campsite within Wollangambe Crater. The walk is partly off track, part on track, with some steep sections, and so moderately challenging. Please ensure you have suitable gear for a Zero Degree night.
1. Besides bringing all your camping gear you will need 2 days worth of food supply, as once we start the walk you will need to be fully self sufficient. You don't need to bring any more than 2L of water with you, since we’ll collect water from the Wollangambe River, which is right next to the camp site (you’ll need to treat it with a filter, steripen or tablets.)
2. Bring your warm clothes/ thermals, waterproof clothing in case of rain, plus warm sleeping gear.
