What we'll do
For those that are interested, we have been kindly invited to a Board & Social Games Night in collaboration with the Sydney Gay Asian Men Meetup group.
This Games Night is a way for same-sex attracted Asian men (with lineage from North, South, East and West Asia) men plus their allies to be themselves, have fun and be social in a safe environment.
Thanks to everyone who turned up to our last Games Night event. We had a fantastic turn out of 70+ people from our community!
The night will begin with an ice breaker game (*optional) starting at 6:00pm or (until we reach enough players). The icebreaker will finish latest 6:30pm. The rest of the evening will be pretty casual, learning and playing tabletop games, and meeting new people.
Feel feel to bring yourselves, snacks (particularly healthy snacks - they seem to popular) and soft drinks/juices to share, and your own food/dinner if you get too hungry. We will be going for a meal afterwards together for those who wish to join us.
UberThai across the road from the venue will be staying open late just for us for our post-game supper! They have arranged set-menus for up to $20 per person (Vegetarian/Vegan, Seafood, Beef/Chicken available (detailed menu will be shared on the night). We'll be taking orders up to 8:30pm when will will be pre-ordering for our dinner scheduled at 9:30pm.
You can bring your own board games that you'd like to play or play the ones that we bring along. In the past this included Taboo, Anagrams, Sequence, Monopoly Deal, Exploding Kittens, Secret H*tler, Sequence, Connect 4, Sushi Go, Monopoly Deal and even more!
Invite partners and friends are welcome (just RSVP as a plus one to help us better plan for attendee numbers).
This particular event is open to guys who are not Asian identifying but are supportive allies but ideally should be invited and accompanied from someone from the community... not like a stranger walking in from the street.
This event is open and inclusive of sexuality, gender, age (18+).
Please RSVP via this post so that we know that you are coming along and can plan ahead to accommodate numbers.
Also, I'm capping the RSVP to 20 attendees from this Meetup group to make sure that we are not overcrowding the venue, particularly as we are guests.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask.
