What we'll do
The Sydney Fairy Tale Ring is the local branch of the Australian Fairy Tale Society. Five times a year (we have been meeting since 2014) we meet to explore a particular fairy tale, as a sort of book club for fairy tales. We discuss the history, meanings, and Australian connections of the story, in order to stimulate our own creative and intellectual responses. Usually about 8-12 people attend, giving everyone plenty of opportunity to contribute.
In the middle of the afternoon we will share some thematic refreshments (supplied) and often do some sort of activity.
Our November fairy tale is Godfather Death, dealing with issues of life, death, vengeance, and fate.
Don Bank Museum is about 4 blocks from North Sydney station.
AFTS members pay $7, non members $10, (in cash) to cover the venue hire.
