3D Printing

What we'll do

As the first presentation of 2020 we unveil the future of 3D printing and the industries about to be shaken up.

This month we have Michelle du Toit, co-founder of Gizmo 3D Printers and the organiser of the 3D Printing Brisbane meetup group.

Over the past 10 years, 3D printing has not slowed down, in fact we can now print missing Lego pieces from home if we need to and cookie cutters for that special event. But the impact spans far wider.

3D printing has many uses and can be found across a range of industries including the health & medical industry (custom hearing aids and braces), construction (literal structures can be printed), manufacturing (aircraft components), education (engineering and design), retail (anything made of plastic, glass, metal or other materials) and even shoes!

This is one of the fastest growing industries and the technology is still in its infancy. Jeff Bezos, CEO of Amazon, has said that the future of online retail will be shaped by 3D printing.

Looking forward to seeing you there for an amazing presentation with networking and nibblies to follow.

Many thanks to our sponsor The Sunshine Coast Innovation Centre for their beautiful venue and their ongoing support.
