What we'll do

Our 3rd 'Confidential' Underground Bar Social Night

We will be holding one of our social get together's at our favourite ‘confidential' underground bar. Everyone had a wow of a time last occasion when 15 turned up for the inaugural meet. Feel free to join the group. Once you RSVP I will send you payment details.

Hi all, join us for a night visit to one of Sydneys top 10 bars at a colonial sandstone rock underground location in The Rocks area.

First of all we have to get there and negotiate our way through the alleyways of The Rocks and colonial structures. It’s not that hard but a little fun for 20 minutes before we arrive at the bar. Don’t forget it is one of the most haunted areas in Sydney - Don’t worry, we haven’t lost anyone yet.

A bit of info about the bar:

This was once a bootmaker house but its transformation is amazing.

Its a warm and cosy, fine drinking bar and we will be ordering a wide selection of platters to accompany the fine wines, whiskeys and beverages you may choose to try.

We will meet on the corner of George and Argyle Streets, just near the Orient Hotel (The Orient Hotel is not our destination!). We will announce to you what to look out for so you can identify the group on your arrival at the meeting point after your RSVP is confirmed.

We'll then take a walk through nostalgic The Rocks lane-ways and then head underground to reach our destination.

Smooth reds to choose from include - Cosmic Antennae Tempranillo Touriga - MCLAREN VALE SA

Scintillating whites to choose from include Dalrymple Sauvignon Blanc - Tasmania

Or you may prefer a sparkling from the Murray Darling, NSW Pollocino Prosecco, or a Magenta Champagne from France.

There are a great range of beers both tap and bottled. Endeavour Pale Ale flows from the tap.

Cocktails are a plenty including names such as Bitch Peas, Flaming Galah, Bushmaster Sour and Creme of the Crop to name but a few.

Top the night with a fine wiskey.

Its $25 per person

If you do not wish to pay by PayPal we will send out a direct bank transfer.

You will be provided a delicious platter food package that will consist of fine cheeses, chutneys, goats cheese, kangaroo prosciutto, honey mustard ham, sourdough, buffalo milk riverine blue, cloth bound cave aged cheddar, fresh fruit, olives, onion chilli jams and much more. Vegetarian/Vegan options too. Included in the price is our exclusive access to the bar, your host for the pre bar walk and evening and admin costs of our site.

All beverages are at your own cost.

Hope you will join us for this night of discovery, fine beverages, laughter and merriment. It’s a first class experience in an 1850s themed attraction.

Once you RSVP, we will send you out the payment options. Bank Transfer or PayPal.

Some of you will know the bar or you can look it up but it’s recommended not to look it up so its a surprise on the night!

Hope you can make it as it is a really great night.
