What we'll do

Welcome to the Sydney synbio meetup, we bring together scientists and entrepreneurs to make the world a bit better using synthetic biology.

Whether you are a scientist, entrepreneur or somewhere in between this meetup is for you. At each and every meetup you will hear from a leading scientist in the field as well as an investor or entrepreneur building a synthetic biology startup.

In our second meetup you will hear from two people with very different experiences with synthetic biology. Sam Wong is partner at Blackbird Ventures and will be speaking about why she is so interested in helping outstanding Australian synthetic biology founders make an impact on the world.

NJ Beaumont is a scientist turned entrepreneur and founder of Heuros, Brisbane-based biotech company. He will speak on his journey from scientist to founder and share advice for others thinking of doing the same.
