6:00pm. Welcome Intro. First Speaker: Josh Copeland will help us understand Gutenberg Blocks. In this talk, Josh will show you why the compartmentalized nature of Blocks are the cornerstone to building WordPress sites the right way. We will cover a code example that shows how you can create your very own custom block types. Second Speaker: Russell Aaron will be demonstrating how to migrate your live website to a local site, make changes, and get all of that back up to your live site. WordPress Q&A!

We’ll discuss picking a theme, displaying the plugins Russ is currently using, and why Russ is uploading 5000 x 5000 images, even though he knows better. Next up: WordPress 5.0 is almost here. You ready? - John Hawkins The long-awaited arrival of WordPress 5.0 is nearly upon us. With it, a brand new editing experience called Gutenberg. We'll be taking a look at the latest beta version of WordPress and Gutenberg and how it affects an existing site or two. I know we've talked a bunch about Gutenberg recently, but this is the biggest change to WordPress in a long, long time. There will also be plenty of time for Q & A, so please bring your WP questions!
