Human-centred Design for Development

Online event

What will this session cover?

We'll investigate the value of human centred design principles and techniques, and do some hands-on activities that you can apply to your day-to-day work! This session will be led by former Developer turned Designer, Sindhu Harinath.

Who is the event for?

While the talk is aimed primarily at programmers and people working in tech, anyone in tech or STEM fields or with an interest in tech may benefit from learning about human-centred design principles and how they can inform decision making and the ways we work.

Our speaker:

Sindhu is an empathy-driven designer who’s passionate about understanding people, creating incredible things and working on things that have a positive impact! While studying psychology and IT at university, she discovered that what she loved most was actually the combination of the two. She has worked as a Designer in corporate, start-up environments, government, and as a freelancer. She is currently a UX Designer at Code for Australia.

Our speaker for this event is brought to you by Code For Australia: http://codeforaustralia.org/
