New To The Group?

Our meetup group is very active and we get together 1—2 times a month. We certainly don’t expect you to be at each meetup - although you are more than welcome to attend them all.

One of the challengers for our organising team is finding great content that suits everyone - from beginners to seasoned professionals. We typically overcome this by running two talks at once, in different rooms: One for Users, and one for Developers.

What can I expect on the night?

Meetups commence at 7:00pm on the first Wednesday of every month, with some social mingling and free pizza (thanks to our sponsors). You will have a chance to meet like-minded people, and the organizers will be available if you have any burning questions you are keen to ask.

At 7:30pm we get underway with housekeeping and any WordPress news, followed by presentations from our speakers based on the topic for the night.

If there is time, we will open up the floor to Q&A.

The meetup formally finishes at 9:00pm, but many choose to stay on for conversations and do some more mingling.

Can I bring a friend to the Meetup?

YES!

You are more than welcome to bring a friend with you. Coming to your first meetup can be a scary experience, we’ve been there too, so if you need safety in numbers, bring the numbers with you! Just make sure that when RSVP you add either +1 or +2.

Who are the organizers?

Ricky Blacker, with help from Geoff Powell and Neil Murray - you can follow the links to our Meetup Profiles to read more about us there.

What do I do now?

Check out our Up coming events on our event page and RSVP to the next event.
