Details

Join us for a lively discussion of one of the most hotly anticipated books of 2024, Kristen Perrin's How to Solve Your Own Murder. Variously described as wildly original, delightfully refreshing and very funny, you'll be totally engrossed from the start.

In 1965, Frances Adams was told by a fortune teller that one day she'd be murdered. Frances spent the next 60 years trying to prevent the crime that would be her eventual demise. Of course, no one took her seriously - until she was dead.

When her great-niece Annie arrives from London and discovers that Frances's worst fear has come true, can she unravel the mystery and find justice for Frances? Or will digging up the past lead Annie into the path of the killer?

You can read or listen to the book (read by Alexandra Dowling and Jaye Jacobs on Audible).

We will meet in the Castle Inn on Castle Hill at 7pm in the hour before IVC Pub night - feel free to stay on for drinks afterwards! The Castle is a quaint traditional pub offering a full range of drinks, including real ales and pub food.

Parking is free in the Shire Hall car park from 7pm.

Books to look forward to in the coming months:
- The Guest List by Lucy Foley
- Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens
- The Maid by Nita Prose
- The Proof of My Innocence by Jonathan Coe
