Saturday hike at Winton Woods

Hey all,

Got some requests to do a hike at Winton Woods. The trails are kinda spread out at this park so most of the trails are going to be paved bike paths for this route. That being said we'll start out at Kingfisher trail loop (which is the wooded trail portion of this hike). We will then take a connecting bike path to the bike path that goes around the lake. We will then walk back via the bike trail to the start point. Should be a little over 5 miles in total at a 3 mph pace. ***Be prepared for this hike to be hot in the open sun with not much cover***. Hopefully putting it early in the morning should alleviate some of that. I'll probably plan on going somewhere afterwards for lunch and a beer if anyone wants to join. This park is part of the great parks of Hamilton County so it does cost money to get in (5 dollars for a day pass, 10 dollars for a year pass as a Hamilton County resident, 16 dollars for a non-resident year pass).
