Welcome Domain-Driven Design practitioners & aficionados! This group is for software & product people interested in the world of domain-driven design. Covering topics from modeling to implementation, socio-technical systems, patterns, practices & heuristics, we'll have a range of talks, panel discussions and collaborative interactive sessions to collectively grow as practitioners of domain-driven design.
We have some great international (remote) & local guest speakers lined up and will be creating space for local first time speakers as well!
Sessions will be in-person (initially alternating each month between Sydney & Melbourne), with a livestream available.

Strong and Weak Forces - Domain Driven Architecture at MYOB

At MYOB we have intentionally designed our team structures to create the kind of cohesive architecture we want reflected in our underlying systems, features, processes, data, and APIs. The arrangement of our teams makes apparent ‘forces of alignment’ within MYOB. Being aware of these forces - weak and strong - helps us make better technology decisions. This plays out in everything from choices of specific technologies to align on, through to how we create the APIs that power our customer products.
In this talk, Evan will share insight into how MYOB is arranged, and specific examples of how these strong and weak forces guide decisions.
