What we're about

Featured in Draft Magazine, Hoodline, Berkeleyside, and highlighted in Runner’s World, this is a group for anyone interested in balancing fitness with the enjoyment of craft beer in the East Bay. Every Tuesday night a group of runners with varying experience meets at a local brewery or craft beer bar and runs between 3-5 miles returning for post-run beer. Past events have taken place in Oakland (The Trappist, Modern Times, Temescal Brewing), Berkeley (Fieldwork Brewing, Gilman Brewing, Sierra Nevada's Torpedo Room), Alameda (Faction Brewing, Almanac Beer Co), and many more locations throughout the East Bay.
Running routes are determined several days in advance and are posted in each meetup. We look forward to running and enjoying some beer with you!

East Brother Beer Company Point Richmond Saturday Afternoon Run

East Brother Beer Co.

It's been over 4 years since our last visit to East Brother. We're due for another visit, and so we’ll be heading to Richmond for our February weekend run.

We will be meeting at East Brother Beer Company in Point Richmond, and we'll be running either 3.7 miles or 5.1 miles (your choice), and then returning for beer. Both routes will take you to Miller/Knox Regional Shoreline and Ferry Point (the Fishing Pier), but the longer route will add almost a mile around the pond before taking you back to the brewery. Also, be aware that there will be inclines after the start and just before the end of your run.

The meeting time is at noon, but we typically don't start our run until 10 minutes after the hour.

East Brother has plenty of parking. Richmond BART is about 2.8 miles. If you plan on taking public transit, be prepared for at least a 30-minute walk (or more) between the brewery and your public transit stop. It is recommended that you drive your vehicle, or if you can, carpool with another attendee. Outside food is allowed. Also, a food truck TBA will be on-site for post-run food. The brewery is dog-friendly.
