Make sure you bring your Myki. Please ensure that it has atleast $14. If you have a myki pass for Zone 1/2, you will need $9.50 on your myki. Please have early dinner or carry takeway food to eat on the train.

Cost:

[$10 - Regular] - A nominal organizer fee of $10/per person will apply (This is the fee over 90% of the people pay). This can be paid by cash at the meeting point. This is ideal if you are not bringing a camera as I take solo photos for everyone with the Milkyway for free. This is a great way to enjoy stargazing and look out for spectacular shooting stars.

[$20 - Astro Photographer - Limited spots] - If you are planning to take photos of the stars with your SLR/DSLR or Mirrorless camera or GoPro, a total organizer fee of $20/per person will apply. This can be paid by cash at the meeting point. Please note that the photos taken during this event may not be used for commercial use without prior approval. This is ideal if you want to try your luck with Astro Photography. You will need a tripod for long exposure shots.

Photo: One solo photo each for everyone with the Milkyway is free. For every additional photo, it is $10 per photo.

Location: For the safety of people attending the event and flexibility to change location in the last minute based on weather forecast, the location details will only be shared with people who are at the meeting point.

About: The Milky Way Galaxy is one of the most interesting naked eye sights in the night sky. We live under light-polluted skies and to see a glimpse of the Milkyway, we need to travel outside the city. Stay outside in full darkness for a few minutes, then look up. There will be a faint "river" of light crossing the sky. That's the Milky way. Full dark adaptation occurs after 30 minutes of not seeing any source of light, but this is not required for seeing our galaxy.
