PLAY Boardgames is all about community social connection over a boardgame, and maybe a coffee, tea or snack.

We are inclusive, welcoming all to spend an evening challenging your skills and engaging your brain while having a laugh with friends both old and new. Come along regularly and you'll become the old friend to someone new!

PLAY Boardgames was borne from the isolation and loneliness created by COVID. But it is still relevant today, promoting community connection.

So, please come and feel the warmth of community whilst playing a boardgame every Saturday 7pm at either of our venues.

Tea, coffee and boardgames will be supplied. Please feel free to bring along a plate of refreshments, your own boardgames and a gold coin donation.

PLAY Boardgames is a privately funded community building activity so your support is greatly appreciated.

Young or old, alone or with a group, your host Janette will welcome you and help connect you into a game. You are welcome to bring a game of your own along, or there are MANY to choose from. If you don't know the games, someone will help you learn the rules.

Popular games played recently include: Azul, Rummikub, Bananagrams, Scattergories, Ticket to Ride Europe, Connect 4, Blokus, Bohnanza, Scrabble...

Please note, I don't run this event, Janette does, and it is open to the general public plus the Meetup group. It meets each week.

PLEASE NOTE: The Bulimba venue has stairs and has no ramp or lift.

The Sunnybank Venue is ground floor only, and is therefore quite accessible. The disabled parking is on the grass right behind the entrance, so may not suit wheelchairs but ok for more mobile persons.
