Details
The Cape Henry Trail runs through First Landing State Park in Virginia Beach for 7.5 miles. The trail runs through the city offering access to local restaurants and shops while also meandering the State Park. Within the state park, trail users can experience a variety of ecosystem transitions, from maritime forests to bald cypress swamps and salt marshes. Spread out along the trail are benches and HealthTrek exercise systems that go beyond monkey bars and a pull-up station.

We'll head north and east for about 7 miles to Lynnhaven Boat Ramp (beyond the Trail), turn around, have lunch at Carib Shack, and return to 64th St. Total distance of about 15 miles. Optional ride to The Narrows boat ramp, which is another 3 miles out-and-back.
Weather forecast: High 53F, partly cloudy.
