Journalism, but not as you know it

Details
This month we're partnering once again with the QUT School of Communication to hold a mixed physical/virtual event.
We're close to locking in a panel who will be showcasing a range of truly innovative design and artistically-informed storytelling methods, and how they have used these in their own practice. More details to follow but trust us that this is one that you won't want to miss!
We have capacity for 18 people to join us at the Gibson Room, Level 10, Z Block, QUT Gardens Point. For everyone else we will be streaming the panel via zoom (and taking questions from both audiences). Whether you wish to stream the event or attend physically, we please ask that you first RSVP to this meetup event. For those that wish to join us physically, please head over to https://forms.gle/JNEFYswWoRMNmXwz6 to register your interest.

Joseph Burgess
Joseph is a multidisciplinary artist working with sound (composition, modular synthesis, production), animation, fabrication, video and various interactive technologies. Their work has been presented at Vivid 2019 and has recently been acquired by MoNA (Tasmania) for programming in 2022 (Harps of the City). They operate under the pseudonym Unregistered Master Builder to encompass the diverse range of my skills, experience, and the output I produce.
As the founding member of the National Rug Association they are dedicated to the Brisbane Carpet Revolution. Their work involves soft rendering thumbnail imagery of political strife into large scale carpeted works that read like the front page of the New York Times. Through 2020 as a US expat living abroad and a victim of police brutality they have taken to tufting as a documentary practice to enshrine the covid era into the carpet making canon.
