The Secret of Trees – Nature Walk, Followed by Art & Coffee (Paid event)

Details

Ever wonder about the trees you pass every day?

🌳🚶🌳🌳🌳🚶🌳🌳🚶🌳🌳🌳🚶🌳

Join Japanese artist Iyamari for a relaxed nature walk from Café Gallery MINA to Vondelpark. Part of the walk will take place inside the park, surrounded by trees and nature right in the city.

Along the way, Iyamari will share simple, surprising stories—small things that might change how you see trees next time you're out walking.

🌳 🌳 🌳\\\\٩( 'ω' )و ////🌳 🌳 🌳

🌱 Did you know Japan has certified tree doctors (樹木医 Jumoku-i) who care for old and important trees?
🌱 What’s the real shape of a tree? It looks hard and solid—but is it really?
🌱 One species of tree in the park was once thought to be extinct—do you know which one?
🌱 And how much DNA do humans and trees actually share?

Also, you can talk to Iyamari in Japanese 🇯🇵 if you want!

After the walk, we’ll return to Café Mina for coffee, art, and a friendly chat. Tickets are for the walk & talk experience.

Limited to 10 participants—please book your spot today! 🌳🚶🌳
🎟 Tickets on sale via Eventbrite €10

Following the walk, Iyamari will also host a free gallery talk about her exhibition, The Telescore Project, where she creates music from tree prints—combining Japanese nature philosophy with sound and art.

Let’s have a relaxing, inspiring Sunday together! 🌿✨
Meet at the Cafe Gallery MINA on 13:30 and heading to Vondelpark together! You just need to bring yourself ٩( ᐛ )و ♡
