Summer Break Announcement
The book club is taking a summer break in June and July — no formal book discussions during these months. BUT we might still host casual social events (picnics, drinks, or hangouts), so keep an eye out for announcements if you’d like to join us for relaxed summer fun!

Books:

• Moby-Dick or, The Whale by Herman Melville
  → A sweeping 19th-century classic about Captain Ahab’s obsessive hunt for the great white whale, blending adventure, philosophy, and deep reflections on human nature.
• Severance by Ling Ma
  → A darkly funny, sharp novel about office life, globalization, and the collapse of society after a mysterious fever spreads — part apocalyptic fiction, part workplace satire.
