Pace: 4โ€“5 km/hour with a few mindful pauses along the way
Break: Approx. 1 hour Includes access to toilet facilities ๐Ÿšป

A diverse walk including rivers, paddocks, fields and woods with beautiful rows of giant redwood trees.
We will set off heading towards Edgbarrow Woods, a beautiful Local Nature Reserve with hiking trails through its leafy interior. During the 11th century, the woods was one of William the Conqueror's many royal hunting grounds; it's been a nature reserve since 2002.
Very soon we will see the lakes and will stop for a lunch break. There's a cafe at the watersports centre for refreshments as well as picnic benches outside. If you're a keen birdwatcher then you'll find plenty of feathered friends here, we might be able to see geese, widgeons, kingfishers and swallows. We will then head for the other lakes and the river Blackwater.
We will be ending our walk exploring Simons Wood

RECOMMENDATION: please wear comfortable hiking shoes and dress appropriately to current weather update and bring a backpack, torchlight, pack lunch, sufficient water and cash for GroupSave train.
