Ercall Woods, Quarry, plus two Old Lime Kilns, around 6 miles.

We will once again be combining this walk with Ads Ventures. This is an interesting walk which features tranquil woodlands, pools, an old quarry and a nature reserve. We will also see two old lime kilns.
Walking boots are recommended that will give you good grip and ankle support because there will be uneven and rocky surfaces to walk on. A walking pole might come in handy in certain places too.
There is likely to be mud in places, especially after rainfall.
There are four gradual inclines around 200 metres long. There might be a locked gate to get over. This gate has only ever been locked once in all of the years that i have walked this path. Thought to mention it just incase it happens to be locked, then we would have to climb over it. There are no stiles.
Note: All dogs will have to be on a short lead at all times. This is for everyone's safety and comfort.

Route:

We leave the car park heading towards the Ercall. We walk more around the Ercall rather than up it. We will then enjoy the woodlands and the nature reserve. Then working our way towards New Works. There will be an amount of walking along a quiet lane and open countryside and farm tracks. We walk around the edge of the golf course then make our way back towards the car park.
