Scottsdale Mountain Bikers is teaming up with McDowell Sonoran Conservancy to offer a free educational group ride about historic Stoneman Road that runs through Browns Ranch. This ride is 13 miles at a slower pace with several stops.

Patrol the Stoneman Road Educational Ride from Fraesfield Trailhead.
The Stoneman Road was a military road created in 1870, connecting Fort McDowell and Fort Whipple. Join us to patrol some of the historical remnants of this road and listen to the story of the people who made it. This is an Intermediate biker skill with moderate cardio level on about 13 miles over 3 hours.
A bike with wide knobby tires is required. Please, no road bikes, hybrids, or folding bikes. Please check the working order of your bike before you leave home. Helmets required. Bring water and snacks for the trail. Restrooms at the trailhead but no water. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the start.

WAIVER, RELEASE, AND ASSUMPTION OF RISKS
I/we hereby waive, release and discharge the Meetup group Scottsdale Mountain Bikers and its officers, ride leaders, volunteers, employees, organizers, sponsors, members, and ride participants from any and all claims by me or my guests for personal injury, property damage, or death resulting from my/our participation in any Scottsdale Mountain Biker event.
I/we acknowledge that mountain biking is a high-risk sport. I/we realize there are certain dangers inherent in the sport of mountain biking, and I/we assume these risks with the full understanding that injuries may result from my/our participation in any event.
I intend this release to discharge the above-named from any and all liability arising from or connected in any way with my/our participation in any event, even though that liability may result from the negligence or carelessness of the above named.
I/we certify that my/our bicycle is suitable for safe use in all events, that I/we are in good physical condition, and that I/we are able to complete the event.
I/we agree to wear a bicycle helmet properly adjusted and fastened and approved by SNELL or ANSI.
I/we have read this waiver and release and fully understand its terms and agree that it shall be binding on my/our heirs and assigns. I/we consent to emergency transportation and care at my own expense if injured or ill.
My guest(s) have read this waiver and have agreed to it. I accept full responsibility for my guest's safety and behavior.
