Thursday’s Social Ride -- July 24

Summer has arrived in the Tri-Valley. Wisps from the morning cloud cover hanging over the Castro Valley environs make a futile attempt to drop down into Pleasanton. The Highway 24 gap is more successful and a heavy layer lingers around Mt Diablo blocking the morning sun.

**Surviving NOAA forecasters predict another ideal cycling day in the Tri-Valley. Temps will be well below (!) 80 by the time we return to Pleasanton.

***Probable Ride Destination--->Senior Center > Poppy Ridge Golf Course. Minimal climbing (e.g. Tesla/Vasco. Distance--an easy 30+/- miles.)

Ride "sweep" will facilitate keeping all on course. Ride will re-group as necessary. Cycling etiquette essential. Pleasanton Senior Center open - bathrooms & water available.

Attendees are limited to 30 who have signed for the ride in advance. Please be sure to bring your helmet, water and a spare tube. No SAG cars provided.
