Ready to dive into sapphic stories and level up your writing?

The SCWG's Bimonthly Book Club is a cozy, inclusive space for lovers of sapphic literature. Whether you're into romance, mystery, sci-fi, or poetry, our selections explore a wide range of genres and voices from sapphic authors with sapphic themes.

Join us every two months for two hours of bookish fun where we celebrate sapphic characters, unpack the storytelling craft, and inspire each other’s creativity. We'll gather for discussion, thoughtful reflection, and genuine connection over our shared love of books that celebrate sapphic experiences.

Whether you’re an aspiring writer, a casual reader, or somewhere in between, this club offers a welcoming space to share your thoughts, and connect with fellow sapphic lovers.

When: Every other month, so it gives us all time to live life and read without pressure :) Must RSVP to attend.
Duration: 2 hours, 12-2PM

Meeting Structure

• Open Share: Favorite Quotes, Feelings, Related Media
• Guided book discussion about reader experience and the craft of writing.
• Discuss next potential books for SCWG TBR/spin wheel & Wrap-Up

How it Works:

• I will place the sapphic book suggestions in a TBR and spin a wheel to choose next meetings book.
• Reading is self-paced, but discussion questions will be provided via email in preparation for meeting.
• This is a queer-affirming, safe space prioritizing respect, empathy, and shared joy in sapphic stories.
• I recommend supporting local queer supportive book shops if possible (The Lavender Bookshop, Bookish Atlanta, and Charis Books & More!).
