Shut Up & Write at Atlanta Bread

Details
Home is where the heart is... as well as the distractions. Why not leave the house and meet up with fellow writers? Being around people with the same goals makes you more likely to work towards that goal, as proven by numerous scientific studies over the centuries (citation needed).
At Shut Up & Write, the goal is to hunker down and finally get those ideas out of your head. Work on whatever you want, be it a novel, script, blog post, or an email to your boss explaining why you called in sick. We don't share what we've written with the class, so don't worry if your project isn't at its peak. Trust me, neither is mine.
We're meeting at Atlanta Bread in Woodstock. There's plenty of parking, indoor and outdoor seating, and free wifi. They have a wide menu of drinks and food, so please be courteous and purchase something. Look for the "Shut Up & Write" sign when you come in.
Schedule
9:30am – Get settled in. Say hello and grab some refreshments.
9:45am – Introductions about ourselves and what we're working on. We then write in silence for 45 minutes.
10:45am – Break! Stretch your legs and get another drink.
11:00am – Another 45-minute silent writing session. Don't overthink and just get it all out.
We all have other obligations, so feel free to leave early if you want to; if we're in the middle of a session, just silently wave goodbye. Being late is also fine; just grab a seat and start writing, then we'll chat once the session is over.
I look forward to seeing you guys there!

Every week on Saturday until August 23, 2025
