Music has always been a collaborative artistic expression yet we can so easily find ourselves navigating the journey alone...
Join us at our first Musician’s Connect event (presented by The Creative Hustle Network) where we will bring together budding and professional musicians to discuss key topics in our industry’s landscape and network with like-minded artists, songwriters, musicians, producers and anyone working within the industry.

For our first event, we have the privilege of local musician, singer, songwriter and producer Janine Maunder joining us for a discussion around the topic of imposter sydrome.
Janine has built a successful music career spanning decades through her band project (Naked Raven), solo career, backing vocalist and keys player for artists such as Kate Ceberano and Tania Doko (Bachelor Girl), as well as being sought after in the industry for her work as a session singer for film scores, live television and commercial recordings.

The purpose of our Musician’s Connect events will be to provide a setting that people can discuss relevant topics, seek perspective from their peers but also from an experienced guest that we invite in, and walk away feeling inspired, educated, supported and equipped to tackle their next projects and creations in music.

This is a not-for-profit event and any proceeds will be donated to Support Act.

Our roundtable format will follow this order:
7pm - doors open and 20 min networking
7:20pm - Introduction
7:25pm - Short interview with Janine
7:35pm - questions from audience (directed at Janine), also welcoming a discussion amongst the audience too
7:50pm - Round table discussion where everyone can share their thoughts on a pre-planned topic.
8:15-8:45pm - networking and event close.

About The Creative Hustle Network:
The Creative Hustle is a social events group aimed at providing a hub for the professional artists, creatives and entrepreneurs of the Melbourne creative and arts scenes!
You know those conversations that just light you up? Make you remember why you started this journey and inspire you? This is where you’ll find them.
Melbourne has always been on the map as the arts & culture capital of Australia, however many creatives, artists and business owners have struggled to find 'their people' in our wonderful city.
This group is more than just networking, it’s about meeting people who are on a similar journey to you where you can share your experiences to support each other, make genuine friends and perhaps find some people to collaborate with too!
Creativity can be bombarded by digital interactions, and require us to spend hours alone to work on our craft, often leading many people to mental health issues and feelings of isolation and loneliness. The Creative Hustle believes in the power of genuine friendships and human connection. As creatives, we know that some of our greatest inspirations and collaborations stem from the bonds we form with one another. This group is equally about social networking as it is business.
It’s time to stretch outside the comfort zone to forge new pathways in your profession all while building lasting friendships that enrich our lives in ways that only real connections can.
