What we're about

Organising social breaks or sharing time with new people can be hard if you have ADHD. You're busy with work, family, study, life. Time goes by. You miss that coffee/chat or put that catch-up on hold ...

Mixing and meeting like-minded people is an important aspect of a healthy, happy life with ADHD !

We're a volunteer run group. We enjoy getting together and exchanging info and ideas. At meetups you've an opportunity to talk about ADHD, share stories and embrace our ADHD personality traits.ย Anyone wanting to meet fellow travelers in the growing NSW ADHD community is encouraged to attend.

We're Newcastle & the Hunter Valley's first ADHD Meetup group. If you live in Newcastle or the Hunter Valley join in.ย
Ps - two of us run this group and volunteer our own time and money to keeping it afloat. New ideas areย  welcome.ย Send us a message. All suggestions consideredย  ... unless they're difficult or inappropriate in which case we'll let you know the reason) : )

Like to meet and chat with others who have ADHD and, like you, live in Newcastle and the Hunter Valley?

Why COME?
When you have ADHD life can be difficult - also satisfying and rewarding. Only us .. those living with ADHD, really understand the ups and downs and 'life-hacks'. There's a big need for us to socialize & share stories, advice, useful information & support.

Some member comments from past meetups include ..
"It's good to meet people who UNDERSTAND ADHD." 'Really friendly people." "I've never felt this RELAXED" "The others IDEAS are often useful." "I appreciated the tips & hacks they gave me." "Why aren't there MORE of these for us!?" etc

This MEETUP
You'll enjoy the great outdoors, meet, mix, relax and talk. You'll hear about others experiences and take away some useful tips. We also have some laughs and discuss practical ADHD life-management strategies (if anyone asks).

Got an ADHD QUESTION?
Bring it along. We'll answer it or direct you to trustworthy, free, evidence-based ADHD resources :)

WHAT to BRING
* Yourself :) * Money for coffee * Download the 'Meetup APP' onto your mobile - it's good to help with directions on the day.
