Rose City Bluff to Dharma Rain Zen Center-Northeast Neighborhood Walk

Details
Enjoy a walk in NE Portland from Rose City Golf Course and Bluff past McDaniel High School to a secluded trail behind Dharma Rain Zen Garden. Adjacent to this property is the 12.5 acre future home of Portland Bird Alliance's rehabilitation center. This site was formerly a quarry, a landfill, a putting and driving range. I walked this route last Sunday and was pleased to see the progress being made in the area.
This is about 3.5 miles at a conversational pace and generally takes about 90 minutes. There are some sunny stretches and some brushy trails so a hat and long pants are advisable.
These sites are natural areas undergoing restoration. We'll also stroll through some pretty neighborhoods. Upon request, we can take a restroom break at the Rose City Golf Course clubhouse.
