Local historian, Antony Dale, wrote the definitive book on Brighton's Churches in the 1980s. As it's approaching Xmas, this ramble will feature a few of them plus some other places of worship. The focus will be on those places to the west of the city centre into Hove.

We'll include visits to St Michael and All Angels, St Andrew's Old Church, Hove's current parish church of All Saints and finish near St Andrew's Chapel at the Old Market.

Meet at the front of Brighton station near the Travel Centre and toilets. Look for the chap in the blue and white baseball cap with a blue B on the front.

Terrain: There's a short hill to negotiate at the beginning and then it's pretty flat around Hove.

Toilets: At the beginning at Brighton station and opposite First Avenue after we've visited Palmeira Square around two-thirds of the way round.

If you'd like to help me pay the Meetup charges, I'll happily accept a two-pound donation at the end. Lots of people don't carry cash now so I do have an electronic solution subject to mobile phone signal!
