What we're about
Are you a current or former caregiver to a loved one with Alzheimer's or another dementia, and ready to turn your passion into action? Join our group to learn how YOU can advance public policy for millions of future families, using your personal story!
Alzheimer's Association Advocates strategize, plan, organize and participate in a wide range of activities to engage these elected representatives, including meetings with elected officials and their staff; writing letters to the editor encouraging officials to act or thanking them for acting; and persuading their elected officials to participate in events that we organize, such as Coffees with Congress, community forums and the Walk to End Alzheimer’s.
No prior advocacy experience is needed...only a desire to improve support for the 5 million Americans living with Alzheimer's and advance the search for a cure! We invite you to attend one of our events with an Advocate near you to connect, and maybe join their team!
Please note: this is not a caregiver support group. However, if you need support for you or a loved one facing Alzheimer's, we warmly invite you to call the Alzheimer's Association's 24/7 helpline at 800-272-3900 to take advantage of our free programs and services.
