Nummer 8 unserer Serie in 2019
----- this time in english -----
Biomass is an ever increasing resource in our modern economy. In the context of energy we mostly refer to bioenergy, with the well known conflict "biomass for sustainable energy vs. food production".
Biomass can provide much more than food or energy. That doesn't make the conflict of interest simpler. Sustainability is a complex field.
Natalia Matiz Rubio, a doctoral candidate at Stuttgart University will introduce us to her work on bioeconomy strategies on the way from fossil- to renewable based economies and the trade-offs in the context of Sustainable Developement Goals (SDG).
As always, we will design an engaging hands-on session to dive deeper into the topic, together.
Stay tuned and see you soon!
