Practice and improve your English in Cape Town. Events include meetups to engage in conversation with other members, listening to informative talks, presenting talks, and networking.

Please read procedures, terms and conditions below:

The venue will be confirmed one week before the event.

When entering the venue, please look for the organizer and sign in.

Pay the event fee. Wait to be seated.

Order a drink (this is for your own bill). This is compulsory.


- Please note this is not a singles or dating meetup. Do not attempt to exchange any personal contact information with other members. If it is a networking event and it states that it is in the meetup event description then exchanging business cards will be permissible.

- The aim of the group is to practice and improve your English conversation skills and to meet people in a safe space.

- If any member does not abide by the rules and makes you feel uncomfortable please notify the organizer who will address the situation. Please be mindful and respectful at all times.

- Depending on the even, the organizer may ask members to change seats to give you the opportunity to speak to different people.

Kindly note that by attending the event you are automatically agreeing to the terms and conditions stated above.

Only members who have a clear profile photo may RSVP and attend the event. The event is on a first come first serve basis unless you have pre-booked, we cannot guarantee you a seat on the day.

Organizers may take photos of the event which will be used for the group's social media. When completing the attendance register upon entry please advise whether you give consent for your photograph to be taken or not.

Most importantly, remember to bring an open mind, a sense of humour, and an attitude of learning and having fun.
