Just “Good” or “Great” companies @ Meetup 4/19/12

Entrepreneur Meetup for Thurs 19 April was mainly about JJ [Assistant Organizer] leading a discussion of “What makes some companies great and others average”.  Some companies – who originally were great – change their “great” formula in order to achieve some short term goals, risking the “greatness” of the company – which may lead to a downward spiral – that they never recover from.

Specifically we talked about Google, Microsoft, Facebook ,Yahoo, HP & Apple, and about how their Core Values & Vision, shape whether they’re great and how straying from these, leads to loss of faith from customers & employees – which may lead to a significant decline of the company.  The discussion got particular lively when we discussed the good & bad core values.

Join us at the next meeting on Thurs 17 May for more interesting information from a Speaker about Cloud Funding or a discussion about what it takes to found and grow a “great” company.
