We started the year off with looking at our business plan. February we will be discussing how we use social media to promote our careers/business endeavours; with an in-depth look into using LinkedIn.
6:30 pm - 7:00 pm Registration and Networking
7:00 pm - 8:00 pm Introductions & Meeting Presentations
8:00 pm - 8:30 pm Wrap up and Networking
- Event held at the back of the store in the Learning Centre area.
- Water and pop provided. No food please.
- Wi-fi is available, bring your own device or use a Microsoft Surface (the - Surface loaner cannot save any of your work)
- Bring your business cards and be ready to network.
Event is free. We do collect tabs from cans (i.e. pop, beer, pet food etc.) as we are raising tabs to donate to The Royal Canadian Legion to help provide a wheelchair for a Canadian Veteran.
We will share resources and have guest speakers at some meetings, such as a Microsoft Rep educating us on accessible features in various Microsoft products and programs. Members get the opportunity to do a presentation on their company/organization/career at a meeting. We are people with visible or invisible (dis)Abilities who are: Entrepreneurs, Professionals, those looking to become an entrepreneur or entering a professional career. #WeAreAble
